    Two agents is pleasant. Five is a tax. Work scatters across Cursor here, Claude there, Codex on the dev box — and nothing answers the only question that matters in the morning: what finished, and what’s waiting on me?

      Every tool keeps its own transcripts in its own format in its own folder. There is no shared list, so there is no shared memory.

      Each window hop resets what you were holding in your head. The cost isn’t the click — it’s reloading the problem.

      A run finished overnight, or stopped to ask permission six hours ago. You find out when you happen to look.

    Coverage isn’t uniform, because the underlying CLIs aren’t. Harness Bay states the real number on every surface rather than showing you a control that quietly does nothing.

    Discovery finds the agents already installed and reads their history — locally and over SSH. You get real transcripts: activity rows for edits and commands, expandable diffs, collapsible reasoning, grouped by project across every machine. No sign-in required to look.

    Continue an existing session by writing into the agent’s own native CLI — the same session it would have had without Harness Bay. When a provider pauses to ask permission, supported runs show Approve or Deny in the conversation instead of silently refusing.

    Open a brand-new session on the folder and git branch you pick — local, or on a configured SSH machine. The branch is checked out first, and a dirty tree is refused rather than quietly stashed.

    Harness Bay’s own layer: ask one question across every agent’s history plus your Knowledge notes, and get an answer with citations back to the conversations it came from. Six agents can act as the brain that answers; all nine are searched either way.

    Harness Bay favours no vendor — the adapter layer exists so a new harness is a contribution, not a rewrite. Here is exactly what works today, per agent. Three are read-only because their CLIs offer no way in yet; that’s printed here rather than discovered after you install.

    Beyond reading

    The conversation opens outward.

    A transcript is where the work starts, not where it ends. Resizable panes open to the right or along the bottom of the active conversation, and they belong to that conversation — switch chats and the workspace follows.

    Browser and Terminal tabs dock beside the chat. Watch the dev server, run the suite, read the transcript — one window, no alt-tabbing.

    Point at the bug

    In the built-in browser, capture the page, pick elements, draw on it, or box a region — then send it into the conversation with your note. It stages a draft; it never sends for you.

    Project terminals

    A persistent shell that opens in the active conversation’s project folder. The renderer can’t choose the executable or escape the folder — that’s enforced outside the web layer.

    Remote machines

    Agents on your dev box or VPS dock in the same inbox over SSH. When a host is unreachable you get evidence and a next step — not a bare Retry.

    It reads every agent transcript

    That’s the whole product, so the posture has to be absolute — and specific enough to check.

    It also ships a list of its own limits

    When a gap belongs to a provider’s CLI rather than to Harness Bay, it goes in a catalogue that surfaces in the app, on the exact screen where it would bite you. Real example, shown verbatim in the composer:
